The 25th version of the most widespread ERP is now available
Once again, Microsoft anounces the deployment of a major release of Business Central. The launch of version 25 of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central brings with it a series of improvements and new functionalities designed to optimize business management and improve operational efficiency.

Below, we present a summary of the main novelties of this version.
1. Project Archiving
One of the most anticipated features is the automatic or manual archiving of projects. This improvement facilitates traceability and control in project management. You can now choose from three archiving options:
Never: Archive manually from the project card.
Always: Automatically archive on key events such as status changes, deletions, or invoice registration.
Ask: Request confirmation before archiving.
Additionally, a new page called Project Files has been introduced, where you can restore previous versions and consult archived records to analyze project history.
2. Optimized Text Search
The new optimized search offers precision and speed, significantly improving user experience. Its advantages include:
Search without special symbols: Find terms regardless of capitalization, lowercase, or intermediate words.
Support for advanced column search: Identified with a magnifying glass icon, these columns leverage the full power of the new feature.
3. Assigning Multiple VAT Types to Customers
It is now possible to assign multiple VAT types to customers, making tax management easier across different regions. This feature allows for configuring alternative VAT records and managing transactions more efficiently.
4. Integrated Power BI Reports
Advanced integration with Power BI allows for generating detailed and customized reports directly from Business Central. This enhancement facilitates data-driven decision-making and optimizes the visualization of key business information.
5. Bulk File Upload
The new bulk file upload functionality allows for importing large volumes of data quickly and efficiently. This is especially useful for inventory management and real-time record updates.
6. Improvements in Integration with Shopify
The enhanced data synchronization with Shopify includes inventory, order, and customer management, facilitating the administration of your online store. You can now manage Shopify orders directly from Business Central more efficiently, including the automatic creation of orders and real-time status updates.
7. Process Automation
Automating repetitive tasks, such as invoice creation and inventory updates, saves time and reduces errors. This functionality is particularly useful for businesses handling large volumes of transactions.
8. User Experience Enhancements
Improvements have been implemented in the user experience, facilitating navigation and access to key functionalities. These improvements include the ability to resize columns and attach files via drag-and-drop.
9. Data Encryption and Security
Version 25 of Business Central includes enhancements in data encryption, ensuring greater protection of sensitive information. Additionally, improvements have been made in the migration of notes and links data, as well as receiving background notifications of long processes.
10. Improvements in Legislation and Sustainability
Enhancements have been made in sending electronic documents, allowing invoices to be attached as PDFs to improve transactional transparency. Additionally, functionalities have been added to calculate carbon footprint and purchase carbon credits when unable to meet CO2 emission requirements.
